The African Christian Democratic Party has called on the provincial Police Commissioner Arno Lamoer to ensure that suspects who shot police officers should be arrested soon.

This comes after three police officers were gunned down in Phillipi last week.

ACDP Provincial Leader Ferlon Christians said the attack on police is an attack on communities.

“Three people died in Philippi and that yet in Lansdowne we saw that perpetrators walked into the police station and shot a policeman, it’s shocking the fact that if police officers are not safe how can our communities be safe" Christians added.

If these perpetrators are found guilty they must stay a long time in prison,” Christians added.
