The Democratic Alliance said it is outraged
that 51 929 higher learning certificates have not been issued to students
who have completed their studies.
DA MP of Higher Education and Training
Annelie Lotriet said it is high time that students receive these outstanding
certificates so that they can go into the workplace and take advantage of opportunities
available to them.
Lotriet said it is very worrying that the Department is not able to fix this.
Lotriet added that the DA is now going to
ask the public protector to investigate this matter because we cannot have more
that fifty thousand young people, unemployed and without certificates.
