A man accused of murdering a family of six remain in custody

A 25-year-old man who is accused of murdering six family members in December 2012 appeared in the Ntuzuma Magistrate Court facing six counts of murder. 

KwaZulu Natal Police Spokesperson Jay Naicker said it is alleged that Tshepang shot and killed Maselina Leneah and he stabbed five of her kids to death only a toddler survived his onslaught.

Naicker said he locked the deceased bodies in the house and he fled to Lesotho where he had been hiding all along. The bodies were discovered on the 31st of December 2012.

The court ruled that the suspect Tshepang Mokhali remain in custody until his next court appearance on Friday.
