Two killed in farm fire in Limpopo

A house fire broke out on a farm just outside Letsitele in the Limpopo Province, in the early hours of this morning.

ER24 spokesperson Pieter Rossouw said, “Four people were in the house when the fire broke – a family of three as well as a bystander that went into the house to try and help.

Sadly, a mother as well as her child, were killed in the fire and the other two sustained moderate to serious injuries.

“ER24 paramedics treated and transported one moderately injured patient to Letaba Provincial Hospital for further treatment.”

“The other patient was transported by other services to the same hospital.” said Rossouw

The facts around the cause of the incident are still unknown, however authorities are still investigating.
