A South African relief team has managed to land in Haiti after being delayed in the nearby Dominican Republic, waiting for clearance to land in the capital, Port-au-Prince.
The earthquake, which officials say has killed at least 50-thousand people and left 1.5 million homeless, has been described by United Nations as the worst it has ever confronted.
Meanwhile, the devastated capital Port-au-Prince was rocked by a strong four-point-five-magnitude aftershock yesterday, four days after a massive quake destroyed much of the city.
Tuesday's seven-magnitude earthquake left tens of thousands dead and turned the capital and large parts of western Haiti into a disaster zone.
Over 30 aftershocks have shaken the devastated nation since then.
