A 50-year-old flight instructor has died and his passenger injured when a helicopter crashed at Heidehof.
Police spokesperson Warrant officer November Filander says details were sketchy but the helicopter crashed two kilometres away from Gansbaai.
Filander says the SA Civil Aviation Authority will investigate the cause of the accident.
