Labour unions celebrate May Day

May Day rallies are being held across the country today.

President Jacob Zuma will address an ANC rally at Kingsmead in Durban.

Here in the city Workers under union SACTWU marched from Industrial house in Salt River to the Good Hope centre where they will be addressed by the Minister in the Presidency Collins Chabane.

In Gauteng, Cyril Ramaphosa will be the speaker at a rally in Merafong on the West Rand.

Meanwhile, ANC deputy secretary general Thandi Modise will address a rally in Sasolburg’s HF Verwoerd Stadium in the Free State, while Mathews Phosa has been deployed to a rally at Mdantsane in East London.
