Numerous scholar vehicles have been nabbed by traffic officials since the start of the school year in inland schools on Wednesday.
The Gauteng Traffic Police want to step up vigilance on the major school routes around the country.
Today traffic officials targeted Laudium in Tshwane on the R55 where 28 vehicles carrying school children.
Director of the Gauteng Traffic Police Thami Malesela says this operation will spread throughout the country.
