Cape Town’s Disaster Risk Management Centre is warning of high shark activity along the False Bay coastline.
A swimmer, 42-year-old Michael Cohen, was severely injured in a shark attack when he ignored warnings to stay out of the water at Fish Hoek this week.
At least three shark sightings have today been reported at St James, while another shark was spotted at Muizenberg Beach.
The Shark Spotters have hoisted red flags along beaches that include Muizenberg, Kalk Bay, St James, Glencairn and Fish Hoek.
