On the final day of the conference of the Congress of South African Trade Unions in Midrand,unions called for a debate on the African National Congress's leadership issue.
National Union of Metalworkers' of SA General Secretary Irvin Jim said it was important for the delegates to discuss the issue as there would not be another time for them to be together before the Mangaung Conference.
Cosatu decided against opening up discussions around who should lead the ANC.
Cosatu`s 11th national congress came to an end today.
