Crime Line says the recent statistics that drug-related crimes have increased by 15.6-percent is worrying.
Community Safety MEC in the Western Cape Dan Plato said drug related crimes in the province have increased.
This after comes the release of the crime statistics for the last financial year by Police Minister Nathi Mthethwa on Thursday.
Crime Line Co-ordinator Marisa Oosthuizen said the latest statistics echo their call for a renewed and multi-partner effort to fight the scourge of drugs in communities.
Oosthuizen added that the tip-off service released a statement earlier this month indicating that 80-percent of the tip-offs they received are drug-related.
