WCED ready for 2014 school year

The Western Cape education department on Sunday said they are ready well prepared for the 2014 school year.

Spokesperson Bronagh Casey said they have allocated to schools their teacher posts for the school year as well as at the end of the month the beginning of the roll out of textbooks to schools will begin to take on affect.

Casey added that they have finished their second phase enrolment for the 2014 school year and asked parents to contact their district office should they require any guidance or advice on how to enrol children.

She further said they have also released to schools a planning calendar for the 2014 school year in order to prepare teachers, principals and parents well in advance about education activities planned for 2014.
