Western Cape traffic officials were on high alert yesterday as they held road blocks in various areas in the Western Cape.

In spite of the cold weather over the weekend many people found themselves still out and about.

Traffic Chief of the Western Cape, Kenny Africa said they arrested three drunken drivers.

There was a total of 24 road blocks throughout the Western Cape. Officials stopped 1028 motor vehicles and screened 401 drivers for alcohol.
