Illegal poaching curbed

The Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries anti-poaching campaign has reaped some reward. 

Seven men were arrested by Fisheries Control Officers and 26 429 units of abalone was confiscated. 

All these incidents took place in five different incidents of illegal poaching. 

Department spokesperson Lionel Adendorf said they will continue to work with law enforcement agencies toward curbing illegal poaching.
