The African National Congress is shocked by the inaction of the DA on the latest damning forensic report pointing to another DA local government scandal cover up.

The ANC’s Chief Whip Pierre Uys said the DA preaches on thing, but practices another as is evident in the now public ENS forensic report on various allegations against DA councilors in the DA lead Eden district municipality.

Uys said in terms of the report from the Eden Municipality it is clear that there were some acts of corruption.

He added that there is no indication from the DA that there is going to be any action taken against this.

Media reports have revealed that the forensic report has recommended that criminal charges of fraud be filed against Eden mayor Wessie van der Westhuizen and others at the Eden Municipality.

The probe, covering July 2011 to December 31 2012, was launched after the Eden district municipality encountered some evidence of consistent breaches of policy and procedure relating to the mayor's travel and accommodation claims.
