The Democratic Alliance supports the justice portfolio committee in asking for the public protector, Advocate Thuli Madonsela, to address certain allegations against her department in parliament.

DA Shadow Deputy Minister of Justice and constitutional Development Debbie Schafer said the portfolio committee is dealing with this matter at the request of the public protector.

Schafer said there has been a lot of allegations made against Thuli Madonsela`s office and some were made by the former Public Protector.

She added that all these allegations need clarity and the police need to present their report on the investigations that have been made already.
