Robben Island Museum improvements welcomed by Arts and Culture Comittee

The Portfolio Committee on Arts and Culture has welcomed the improvements at the Robben Island Museum and the stability the museum seems to be experiencing. 

Following a difficult period between 2011 and 2012 with negative media coverage and two strikes, the museum has stabilised and work is underway.  

Portfolio Committee on Arts and Culture Chairperson Thandile Sunduza said from where it was Robben Island has shown a lot of improvement.

“Even those problems tht were raised by the media have been clarified and we are happy about that, as a committee” Sunduza added.
