Some Limpopo schools without textbooks

Last year, the schools in Limpopo did not receive textbooks.

This year there are still reports of some schools that have not yet received textbooks.

The Duiwelskloof Primary School is one of the schools that have not received books for this year.

The Democratic Alliance were notified by the school principals about the textbooks.

DA Provincial Leader Jacques Smalle said currently the school has to make photocopies from resources and has spent a budget of R64 000 this year only to make copies to assist learners in the school.

“We have been notified by the headmaster that the first exams and tests have been rescheduled on some subjects that the textbooks that have not been received, and this put more external pressure on the learners of the school” Smalle said.
