Blaze in Nyanga kills one and leaves one in a critical condition

A child died in a shack fire in Nyanga on Saturday. 
 
Emergency Services Wilfred Solomons Johannes says the six year old boy’s body was found in the ruins.

Solomons Johannes said two men lost all their belongings in the blaze.

Solomons Johannes explains that upon their arrival it was established that one shack was completely gutted by the inferno.

“A 12 year old was rushed to hospital for medical treatment and the boy is currently in hospital in the intensive care unite and is in a critical condition,” said Solomons Johannes.

Furthermore he added that a post-mortem will be done on the remains of the 6 year old to officially determine how the boy has died.

Solomons Johannes said an inquest docket has been opened and the cause of the fire is still unknown.
