Three construction workers died and two others were left injured in an accident on the N3

while two
others were injured after their vehicle overturned on the N3 near the Market Road
Netcare 911 spokesman Chris Botha said reports
indicate that the vehicle was travelling on the north bound lane, when then
driver lost control, left the road and rolled down a five meter embankment.
Botha said when they arrived at the scene they found that two people a man and a
woman in their forties had tragically died.
Botha added
that a female in her thirties had sustained life threatening injuries.
“Netcare 911
paramedics worked fervently for over an hour to resuscitate the female on scene
tragically she died on scene due to the extensive injuries that she sustained,”
Botha said.
Botha added
the two other patients were stabilized on scene before medics transported them
to a local hospital for the care that they required.
