The Western Cape High Court has granted the City of Cape Town a final interdict against those who interfered with servicing of toilets.

The city approached the court in May after groups of people disrupted the servicing of container and portable flush toilets.

Several protest have happened over the last few weeks whereby human waste has been thrown on the steps of the provincial legislature and the motorcade carrying Premier Helen Zille.

Spokesperson for Mayor Patricia de Lille, Solly Malatisi said the court order prevents any individual and groups identified in the court order from interfering with the work of the City, its contractors or damaging municipal property.
