Malawian man shot himself in front of the Police

North West Police said a 34-year-old Malawian national shot himself after being corned by the police and community members. 

It is alleged that four suspects entered a shop owned by a 43-year-old Pakistan national and started threatening the security guard.

The police from a nearby station responded with the assistance of the community. 

Police chased after the suspects three escaped.

Lieutenant Colonel Lesego Metsi added that they robbed groceries and undisclosed amount of money they ran away.

Metsi added that the Community followed the suspects they were caught and Police ordered him to drop the gun, he turn the gun against him.
