Six arrested after axe murder

Six boys aged between 18 and 20-years-old from the Eastern Cape were arrested on Monday for murdering a 50-year-old man.

It is believed that the six boys axed the man to death on Sunday night.

Police Spokesperson Jackson Manatha said the motive for the killing is unknown at this stage.

Manatha added that they were celebrating to go for circumcision and they attacked the old man with battle axes.

Manatha also said the suspects will appear in the Willowvale Magistrate Court tomorrow.
