WC Finance MEC, Alan Winde releases tourism figures

The Western Cape MEC of Finance, Economic Development and Tourism Alan Winde released the tourism figures for the province. 

The figures show that there has been an increase of 2.4% of domestic arrivals at Cape Town International Airport.

MEC Winde said tourism is one of the biggest growth sectors and the figures also show that the goal of growing the contribution to the GDP of this sector from 10% and 15% is possible.

Winde said that generally, across the board they have seen good increases where people visit places such a Table Mountain, Cape Point, The V&A Waterfront, Cango Caves.
