9 people injured in a collision on Old Georgedale Road, KwaZulu Natal

A collision involving three bakkies and one light motor vehicle on Old Georgedale Road in Cato Ridge, KwaZulu Natal left nine people injured.

ER24 Spokesperson Pieter Rossouw says when ER24 paramedics arrived on scene they found out that nine people were injured in the collision.

One of these people sustained serious injuries and the other eight people had injuries ranging from minor to serious.

ER24 paramedics transported a total of six patients and this includes the critical patient who was transported by ER24 to Edendale Hospital and then the other five patients were transported to Northdale hospital as well as Medi-clinic.

The remaining three patients were transported by other paramedics, Rossouw added.
 
The exact details to the cause of the accident will remain the subject of a police investigation.
