The African Christian Democratic Party has raised its concerns regarding the increase in gang violence in the Cape Flats.

ACDP Provincial Leader Ferlon Christians said gang violence continues to be an unacceptable form of organised crime that cannot be tolerated.

Christians said that gang violence continues to plague our communities and affecting those that are most vulnerable. We are very pleased that the community did something about this in starting some forum to curb this.

"We are so sadden that in the past 10 days more than 18 people passed away, and we want to applaud the community for doing their part, but we are asking the Provincial Police Commissioner to introduce the Anti-Gang strategy in order to curb gang violence in Cape Town.” Christians added.
