The Congress of the People has called on Minister of Health Aaron Motswaledi not to deny that the country is facing a shortage of ARV medication.

Minister Motswaledi on Sunday said the country is only facing a shortage of Abacavir which is used to treat children.

Cope Spokesperson Dennis Bloem said the Minister must resolve this problem with urgency.

Bloem said Minster Motswaledi must listen to what doctors and nurses are saying, they are also confirming that there is a shortage of ARV’s.

“We are saying that the Minister of Health must come clean and make sure that ARV’s are available in our hospitals” Bloem added.
