A policewoman appeared in court on Friday after the death of a 12-year-old boy.
According to a daily newspaper she drove into three children. All three were 12 years of age. The two children involved in the accident sustained injuries.
A police spokesperson confirmed that the three children were crossing the road in Sydenham, Durban south.
The police officer was charged for culpable homicide. She is being charged with reckless driving and being under the influence of alcohol.
The woman has been released on R3 000 bail.
