The South Gauteng High Court has postponed the murder trial of mining magnate Brett Kebble to the 26 of July 2010.
Prosecutors requested the postponement to give preference to the closely linked case of former police commissioner Jackie Selebi before the same court.
The accused in the Kebble case, Glenn Agliotti, is a key state witness in Selebi’s trial. Judge Frans Kgomo has taken over the Kebble trial.
Judge Frans Mgkomo, the presiding judge, is quoted as saying that it was "indeed an extraordinary situation."
Aglitotti's bail was reduced from R350,000 to R200,000, on condition that the reduced amount of R150,000 be used for his legal bills.
