Two robbery suspects were found dead yesterday morning in Langa both with gunshot wounds to their heads.
It is alleged that the victims were involved in a robbery early yesterday involving a Blue Ribbon (bread) delivery truck in the township where the truck driver was stabbed.
Police spokesperson Odwa Makapula says both victims were identified by the truck driver as the suspects who robbed them earlier in Zone 19.
“One of the victims was involved in a spate of robberies during the weekend of 22 to 24 January 2010,” Makupula said.
Makupula says at this stage the motive for the shooting is still unknown.
Anyone that can assist the police with any information regarding this murder can contact Detective Inspector Mbayiselo Spunzi on 0781981494 or Langa SAPS on (021) 695 8000.
Investigations are ongoing.
