Springbok rugby coach Peter de Villiers has decided to call it quits and is to step down after the reigning champions were bundled out of the World Cup tournament by Australia earlier today.

De Villiers says he has no regrets after taking over from Jake White in 2007.

He said there was a time to come and a time to go and he thinks the journey is over for him.
