One person died in Khayelitsha accident

Paramedics responded to an accident in Khayelitsha this morning where one person died and numerous people injured when a bakkie they were traveling in overturned.

ER24 Spokesperson Christo Venter said ER24 Paramedics and other services transported the injured to Khayelitsha provincial hospital for further treatment

“One person was declared dead on scene after being flung from the vehicle along with the other occupants. It is believed that it was raining at the time of the incident and that only one vehicle was involved.” Venter added

The incident occurred in Lansdowne Road in Khayelitsha. The cause of the accident will remain a subject of the Police investigation.
