Western Cape Premier Helen Zille today said she was positive that the government can win the fight against crime.

Zille was addressing a crowd at a safety summit at the Zolani Community Hall in Nyanga.

The hall was packed with community members, the neighbourhood watch and government officials.

The safety summit is a platform for residents to raise their concerns about crime in the area and to give their input on how to make the community safer.

According to Zille, the crime in Nyanga is amongst the highest in South Africa.
