The Inkatha Freedom Party is calling for the Departments of Health and Police to work together to ensure stricter law enforcement in South Africa's medical facilities.

IFP health spokesperson Dr Usha Roopnarain said the safety of healthcare workers and patients is key even if it means creating a police presence in hospitals and clinics.
She added that it’s often drug addicts who target clinics. Saying it is a call to action.
