Democratic Alliance in Mpumalanga has filed a complaint against the Provincial government with the Human Rights Commission.

The DA Provincial Spokesperson James Masango said that government`s failure to provide sufficient scholar transport violates the rights of the children.

The residents from Phola in Ogies accuse the government of failing to provide over 200 children access to education.

Masango said that earlier this year grade1 and grade 3 learners were provided with two busses but the provincial government changed the service provider in June and they brought just one bus.

He added that one bus is not enough for over 200 learners and that has resulted in some learners not attending school.
