The Nelson Mandela Centre of Memory plans to open 20 new libraries at primary schools across the country this year.

Centre spokesperson Sello Hatang says their libraries project opened 13 new libraries last year.

This year they want to improve on that.

Three more libraries will open this week in Parys in the Free State, Kraaifontein in Cape Town and Phalaborwa in Limpopo.
