Lawyers for the 270 arrested Marikana miners have demanded that President Jacob Zuma release their clients tomorrow at the latest.
Else they would face High Court action.
The firm Maluleke, Msimang and Associates has written an open letter to the President, saying that charging the miners with murder following the death of their colleagues in a confrontation with the police was “bizarre in the extreme”.
The NPA’s charge has been widely questioned.
