The Inkatha Freedom Party calls for urgent investigation into the crime syndicate that makes use of look-alike police vehicles as well as police clothing, weapons and documentation in order to gain victims’ trust before robbing them.

IPF Spokesperson on police, Velaphi Ndlovu, said the police must investigate and leave no stone unturned in this matter.

Ndlovu said the syndicate has infiltrated all system of the police.

Ndlovu said the IFP calls for these syndicates to be shutdown and those that have been arrested must interrogated tell their kingpins.

Today another man was hijacked by bogus Johannesburg metro police officers.

Gauteng police say this is the second case this week.

There are reports that these syndicates are operating in Gauteng and Kwazulu Natal.
