A suspected rhino poacher was shot and killed and another suspect arrested after a tracking team spent almost a full day tracing down the suspects.
The incident took place on Saturday on a farm in Polokwane. One of the workers who usually put out feeding for the rhinos spotted strange tracks in the area.
A search ensued for more than 24 hours.
Colonel Ronel Otto said shots were exchanged between a suspect and the tracking team.
Otto added that the suspect is from Mozambique
