COSATU calls on Patricia de Lille to extend support for evictees

The Congress of South African Trade Union in the Western Cape said Mayor of Cape Town Patricia de Lille needs to extend support and basic services as soon as possible to Lwandle evictees. 

Cosatu’s Tony Ehrenreich said the City of Cape Town continues to undermine the plight of the poor. 

Ehrenreich said to use this as a campaign for political point scoring is insensible and disregarding of peoples needs.

“We need a coherent plan that addresses the housing needs of the citizens of Cape Town as a matter of urgency Ehrenreich added.
