DA calling for report on NW water crisis

The Democratic Alliance said it is concerned that the North West Department of Health has not yet released the final report on the water crisis contamination in the province. 

DA MP of Health Wilmot James said a preliminary report suggests that a bacteria was found in the drinking water in Bloemhof which caused the death of three babies. 

James said I would certainly use the freedom of information act to get information and release it to the public that there is a bigger problem.

“Our country not having a national infectious disease or communicable disease surveillance system in place to deal with situations like these which have left three babies dead James added.
