5 people, one critically injured after collision at an intersection

An accident this morning at the intersection of the R102 and Queen Nandi Drive left five people injured and one critically.

It is believed that one vehicle skipped through the intersection resulting in one vehicle colliding into the side of the other one.

Netcare 911 Spokesperson Chris Botha said there were a total of 5 people injured; a woman in her twenties has sustained very critical injuries.

“Paramedics treated them on scene and thereby transported them to nearby hospitals for further care.”

The exact details to the cause of the accident will remain the subject of a police investigation.
