A man found dead on train tracks and another in a critical condition on the side of the road

A man was found dead on a train track in Etwatwa, in Daveyton, late last night.

ER24 Spokesperson Chitra Bodasing says it is understood the man was hit by the train. Bodasing added that the mad died on the spot.

Bodasing says ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and assessed the man. It was found that he had sustained multiple severe injuries.

Unfortunately there was nothing paramedics could do for the man. He was declared dead.

The exact cause of the incident is unknown however authorities were on scene for further investigations Bodasing added.

Meanwhile, a man was found in a critical condition close to the Jacaranda Avenue and Amsterdam Drive intersection in Olivedale earlier today.

The exact circumstances surrounding the man’s injuries are unknown, however authorities were on scene for further investigations.

ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing says when ER24 paramedics and other services arrived on scene, they found the man on the other side of the road.

Bodasing added that paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained multiple injuries. He was provided with advanced life support treatment and transported to hospital for further medical care.
