Seven people injured in a car accident

Seven people were injured in the early hours of this morning when two vehicles collided at the Atlas and Elizabeth road intersection in Boksburg.

ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing said, among the seven, was a woman believed to be 23-years-old who sustained critical injuries.

Bodasing said all patients were treated and transported to hospital for further medical care.

Bodasing says when ER24 paramedics and other services arrived on the scene they found one vehicle on its roof on the road and another in the emergency lane.

The woman who has sustained critical injuries was found lying in her friend’s arm next to the vehicle that had overturned.

Bodasing adde that a man, the driver of the vehicle, and another woman from the same vehicle sustained moderate injuries.

Four men from the second vehicle sustained minor injuries. The exact cause of the collision is unknown
