A 25 year old suspect has been arrested for being in possession of drugs outside a petrol station on the N1 highway.
Police spokesperson Inspector November Filander says police received information of a male person with specific clothing description on a bus from Beaufort West to Cape Town.
“At a petrol service station police pulled off the Luxury bus and identified a 25 year old Somalian national, fitting the given clothing description.
“With his permission, police searched his suitcase and found 96 bunches of the illegal plant khat (drug) with an estimated street value of R10 000, 00.
The suspect is expected to appear in the Kuilsriver Magistrate’s Court tomorrow.
