Five suspects have been arrested in Woodstock for being possession of drugs and possible stolen property.
Police spokesperson Sergeant Hilton Malila says police arrested a 38 year old female and four males between the ages of 23 and 41 years old for being in possession of drugs and possible stolen property.
“The arrest follows after police executed search warrants at various addresses simultaneously at possible drug outlets in Wright, Frere and Baker street Woodstock.
“During the search of these premises police confiscated 7 mandrax tablets, 35 parcels of dagga, 10 plastic bank bags filled with tik, one bag filled with heroine and 32 possible stolen credit cards”, said Sergeant Hilton Malila.
Malila also added that they confiscated a substantial amount of cash during the operation. The estimated street value of the confiscations is R25 000 -00.
The suspects are facing possession of suspected stolen property and drugs charges. They will appear in the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court.
