The National Sea Rescue Institute responded to a report of a boat that capsized at Kommetjie yesterday.
NSRI Kommetjie duty coxswain, Andre Baas, said that on arrival at the scene, all three men aboard, believed to be from the area, were already out of the water and safe and they had sustained no injuries.
Their boat was recovered and no further assistance was required.
NSRI spokesperson Craig Lambinon says it is believed they were returning from sea through the channel when they turned around to head back out to sea, but were caught by incoming breakers that capsized their boat.
