The Democratic Alliance has welcomed President Jacob Zuma's apology to the South African public.
Zuma had apologised earlier saying he is deeply regrets the pain he has caused to his family, the African National Congress, the Tripartite Alliance and South Africans in general, over his relationship and love child with soccer boss Irvin Khoza’s daughter.
But saying words are not enough, Zuma must now focus on repairing the damage he has done to the fight against HIV/Aids.
“It is worth recalling that Jacob Zuma has apologised in exactly these terms before. He must show that his deeds match his words.
Leadership is as leadership does, said DA’s Melany Kuhn.
The opposition party warns that the South African public will not be so forgiving next time around.
