School with electricity for weeks

Pupils from a Kayamandi school has been left without electricity for the past two weeks.

Teachers at the school have been teaching in almost complete dark and could not receive important emails or faxes.

Principle Maphelo Ntshanga said it is concerning since examinations will be starting on Monday.

Spokesperson for MEC Donald Grant, Bronagh Casey said the department sent out contractors to fix the unit that provided the school with power before it re-opens on Monday.
