The National Prosecuting Authority Spokesperson in the Western Cape Eric Ntabazalila said a Ceres farmworker who is charged with the rape of two children also had a previous charge of attempted rape.

Ntabazalila said the suspect a 25-year-old appeared in court today but his case was postponed for further investigation.

Ntabazalila said on the 24th of August 2012 he was sentenced to 3 years for attempted rape but he was released on parole, but after he violated his parole the department of correctional service lifted his parole.

The suspect is now expected to serve his three year sentence up until 2015.
